Lots of sound words to engage children Plot is very very basic so this book is probably just for young children Nothing offensive Fun illustrations

This was one of my favorite books as a kid I liked the pictures of the tracks and the sky To this day sunset over railroad tracks especially if there is a little railroad tower or something involved bring back memories of the last picture in this book When I was a kid this humanized trains for me It let me realize there were real people in them making them go I don't know how much longer that will be true but as of this writing it still is I bought it for the collection as mine disappeared decades ago

My husband remembered his mother reading this to him in the early 50s It's charming and the patter is a train movement Because it's from the good old days unfortunately there are only white little characters But if someone loves trains they will love this

Perfect book to read to my newborn baby cousin I’m buying him as many of the classics that I had when I was a small child
